Panasonic TVs have been missing from the US market for over a decade, which is strange because, well, the company makes good stuff. In any case, our national nightmare is over. The Japanese electronics giant recently launched several new televisions for US customers.

The releases are divided into two lines of OLED displays and another line of mini-LED TVs. The televisions range in size from 55 to 85 inches and they are all designed and developed in Japan. As expected, all of the TVs feature 4K resolution to show off Panasonic’s “superb picture quality.”

Panasonic has also partnered with Amazon for these displays. Each model has Fire TV built in. This partnership likely gave Panasonic an easy way to add a US-friendly UI to the mix, since the company has been missing from these shores for ten years.

Why come back now? The company says it was motivated to re-enter the U.S. because of a “strong belief in unmet demand for its televisions, particularly among consumers seeking the highest possible picture quality.” That’s just corporate nonsense, but the real reason is probably a word that resembles “shmoney.” The U.S. is a huge market.

Although Panasonic’s TVs have been absent for ten years, the company has maintained an active presence in the U.S. It sells several well-known standalone cameras and is building a massive EV battery plant in Kansas.

The company’s new TVs are available for order now, though it looks like shipments won’t begin until September 16. Prices range from $1,300 to $3,200, depending on model and size.

The Super Bowl is just around the corner, and there’s no better way to enjoy the game at home than watching it on a big TV — preferably on OLED, because of its color accuracy.

The 65-inch LG C3 OLED TV is back at the lowest price we saw during last year’s holiday season. It’s currently 20 percent off at $1,197. Although this is the older C3 model from 2023, the newer C4 model is priced higher, and if you don’t want to buy a brand new model, this is a good option.

The LG C3 OLED TV supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, which is perfect for streaming shows and movies. The 4K panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate, which is great for console gaming, especially with a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.

To make the gaming experience even better, there’s NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VRR to prevent screen tearing. That’s why we picked it as one of the best gaming TVs, and that still holds true even after the new model has arrived.
